Samuels - Mildred Randolph

COVINGTON – Mrs. Mildred Samuels, 63, of Rt. 1, Newburgh, died at 9 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary’s Hospital at Evansville where she had been a patient for two days. She was a Fountain County native. Mrs. Samuels was a graduate of Cayuga High School and had been a resident of Newburgh since 1964. She had lived at Terre Haute and on Rt. 2, Kingman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Terre Haute and the Order of Eastern Star at Newburgh. Born June 14, 1912, she was a daughter of Warren A. and Winnie Lindley Randolph. She was married to Edward Lyle Samuels who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Brian R. of Lansing, Ill., and Gregory E. of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. William (Viola) Lyles of Morrisonville, Ill., and Mrs. Donald (Winifred) Coffing of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Lindley Randolph of Covington, Warren S. Randolph of Veedersburg and Aaron F. Randolph of Rt. 2, Kingman; and two grandsons. A daughter and brother are deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs and the Rev. John Webster officiating. Burial will be in Silver Island Cemetery east of Cayuga. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. -– jlr
