Mrs. Mary E. Sampson, 71, wife of Charles Sampson, 508 McPheron-av, died at 10 p.m. Thursday in her home. Born Mar. 12, 1879, in Fountain-co, Ind., she had lived in Lima 32 years. Surving, besides her husband, are two sons, William, 916 E. Eureka-st, and Charles P., 506 McPheron-Ave; a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Rumbaugh, Tipton, Ind.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Littler, Sterling, Colo.; Mrs. Cecil Shoal, Veedersburg, Ind.; Mrs. Bertha Long, Crawfordsville, Ind.; two brothers, Earl Kerr and Percy Kerr, both of Lafayette, Ind. The body will remain in Siferd and Son funeral home for rites at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Colonial chapel. The Rev. Gerald Coen will officiate with burial in Wolf Creek cemetery, Wallace, Ind.
