Hillsboro - Floyd Sadler, 89 of Hillsboro died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday (Dec 16) in Culver Union Hospital. Mr. Sadler had worked as a farmer and buyer-seller of livestock. He was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church, Fountain County Sheriff's Association and was a former Prairie Farmer member. He attended Cayuga HS.
He was born Jan 5, 1906 in Danville, Ill to Adra and Minnie Sadler. He married Tyeline Myers Sept 22, 1928. She survives. Mr. Sadler had also been active in the foster care system. He and his wife cared for Benny Haase, Marshall Haase Myers, both whom survive and Judith Ann Haase Sewell. Judith, who married Steve Sewell, preceded Mr. Sadler in death. Steve and his second wife, Lavrita, both had cared for Mr. Sadler and his wife during his illness. Also surviving are a brother, Albert Sadler of Morton, Ind; two sisters, Martha Ellen Wilson of Siebring, Fla and Hazel Davis of Greencastle; five foster grandchildren and 8 foster great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home Inc at Waynetown with Rev. Hubert Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today. Memorial contributes may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. - kbz
