LINDEN -- Clarence Adrian (Chunk) Ryker, 77, died at 10:20 p. m. Thursday at his home here. He was a retired Nickle Plate Railroad employe and also has been a blacksmith. He was town marshal here for three years. More recently he had been custodian at the Linden School and Linden-Kirkpatrick Methodist Church. Mr. Ryker was born in Monroe, Ohio, Feb. 27, 1882, to Frank and Rebecca Imel Ryker. He was married July 1, 1906 to Iva Brackett at Indianapolis. He had been a resident here 21 years, coming from the Kirkpatrick community. Survivors include the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Hampton, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ryker was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He was a member of the Linden-Kirkpatrick Methodist Church. Services will be held there at 2 p. m. Sunday with Rev. Dennis Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the Helms Funeral Home here after 1 p. m. Saturday. The body will lie in state at the church for an hour preceding the services Sunday.
