Ryker - Calvin

Calvin Lester “Casey” Ryker, 67, of 215 Vance St., a retired 22-year employee of B. F. Goodrich, was fatally stricken Wednesday afternoon in his home. He had been employed at Produce Dairy prior to his employment at B. F. Goodrich. He also had worked part-time for the Crawfordsville school system. He was a member of Linden-Kirkpatrick Methodist Church. Mr. Ryker was a graduate of Linden High School. He was born at Kirkpatrick on Oct. 13, 1908, a son of Charles Edward and Amelia Jane Hiteshue Ryker. He was married to Marjorie Perkins on July 18, 1931. Surviving are his wife; three son, Larry, Charles and Rex of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Krutzsch and Mrs. Beverly Myers, both of Crawfordsville, and Deborah Ryker at home; two sisters, Mrs. Hiram (Lou) Vail of Ladoga and Mrs. William (Floss) Walker of Brownsburg; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
