Bloomingdale—Mrs. Bonnie Lola Russell, 81, a retired school teacher, died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday in Union Hospital at Terre Haute where she had been a patient one week. Mrs. Russell, a graduate of Kingman High School in 1910 and Indiana Central Normal at Danville, Ind., in 1915, had taught school at Grange Corner, Cates, Lodi, Tangier and at an Indian Reservation in Kansas. She was a member of the Rush Creek Friends Church and the Parke County Farm Bureau. A Parke County native, she was born April 10, 1889, a daughter of Daniel and Sarah Jane Hodson Russell. She married Leise Russell Dec. 28, 1947. Surviving are three step sons, Horace and Harold Russell, both of Rt. 1, Tangier, and Homer Russell of Rt. 1, Bloomingdale; a niece, Mrs. Helen Dahl of Mishawaka; four nephews, Howard and Wayne Brown, both of Terre Haute, Wade Brown of Elkhart and Lawrence Brown of Crawfordsville; seven step grand-children, and 12 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 30, 1951. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rush Creek Friends Church with Shirley Brown and Rev. B. F. Nickless officiating. Interment will be in Rush Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville after 2 p.m. today.
