William T. Rusk, who has been in poor health for a long time, died at his home northwest of town on Friday at 3 in the afternoon. Funeral services at the home on Tuesday were conducted by Rev OS Stewart. Interment at Maple Ridge. The following obituary was read: William T. Rusk was born in Brown Township, Montgomery County, Indiana on February 23, 1852 and died at his home in Parke County on January 11, 1918 aged 66Y10M18D. He was the son of William and Lucy Rusk. His father's family consisted of three sets of children, 16 in all. His mother's children were six, a sister and five brothers, inclusive. The sister, Mrs. Miller, preceded him to the great beyond. Four brothers survive him: Richard of Waveland; George and John of near Browns Valley and Baltis of Guion. He was married to Martha Jenkins in April 1876 and became the father of four children, of whom two are dead, Charley and an infant boy. Cecil and Perry live to mourn his loss. His character and citizenship needs no comment. His life was an open book. You all knew him, and those who knew him best, loved him most. kbz
