Waynetown Jan 25 – Dennis Rusk, one of the aged and highly respected residents of Wayne Township died at his home a short distance northwest of Waynetown at 3:30 o’clock this afternoon of pneumonia after a short illness. Dennis Rusk was 84 years of age. He was born in Wayne Township and has lived in and around Waynetown all his life. He was one of the successful farmers and business men of the community and had accumulated quite a competency. Successful in his management of his own business affairs his judgement was sought by many neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife several years ago. His children who survive are Bert of Waynetown and Albert, David, Willard and Mrs. Winfield Fowler of near Waynetown; Mrs. George Parker of Hillsboro and Galila who is living at home. Another son, Edgar was killed in a threshing machine accident a couple of years ago. He is survived also by a sister, Mrs. William Biddle and a brother, Squire Rusk both of Waynetown. Mr. Rusk was a member of the United Brethren Church. He was a member of the Horsethief Detective Association but had no farther lodge affiliations. The funeral will occur Wednesday morning at 10:30 o’clock and burial will take place at Snyder’s Chapel two miles north of Waynetown.
