John H. Rusk died at his home E. of Browns Valley on Tues. morning. He had been suffering for a long time with leakage of the heart. Funeral services at the Browns Valley Baptist Church at two on Thursday were in charge of Rev. Mr. Hucklebery of Franklin. Interment at Indian Creek Cemetery Mr. Rusk was the son of William Rusk and was born on the old Hanna farm west of Waveland in 1852. He taught school in his youth and in later life followed farming at which he was very successful. He married Pauline Ramsey who survives him, with one son, Carl and two granddaugthers. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a good citizen; one who could always be counted on to be on the right side of any moral issue.
