WAYNETOWN — Kenneth David Rusk, 72, Waynetown, died at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000 at his residence. He was born Aug. 1, 1928 in Waynetown, the son of Clarence O. and Elizabeth Lawson Rusk. He was previously married to Barbara Heath, who survives. He was a life resident of Waynetown, graduating in 1946 from Waynetown High School. He was a retired farmer, had operated a grain and trucking business, and had owned and operated a hardware/gift store in Waynetown. He most recently had been engaged in property rental business. He formerly co-woned Elsie's Place in Wingate and New Richmond. He was a member of Wesley Church and baptized in the New Richmond Christian Church. He had been active in community affairs and served on the Waynetown Town Board. He was a 50-year member of the Waynetown Masonic Lodge and had recently received a plaque from the Fountain Trust Co. Bank for outstanding contributions to the bank. Survivors, include: three sons, Dennis (Amber) Rusk, David (Beth) Rusk and Paul (Carol) Rusk, all of the Waynetown area; his fiance, Elsie lane, New Richmond; ex-wife, Barbara Rusk, Crawfordsville; an aunt, Helen Rusk, South Bend; five grandchildren; a step grandchild; and a step great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., Waynetown, with the Revs. Dorman Winger and David Rusk officiating.
