NEW MARKET — Russell L. Rush, 68, of Rt. 1, Greencastle, died Sunday noon at Winona Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Rush was a member of New Market Methodist Church and retired in 1965 after 36 years' service at R. R. Donnelley & Sons Co. where he was employed as a bookbinder. He had been employed at Van Bibber Lake where he resided, as a carpenter since 1965. Born in New Market June 16, 1903, he was a son of Charles and Effie Fulwider Rush. He was graduated from New Market High School. In 1927 he was married to Moselle Reiber, who died in September of 1962. He was married to Ada Essex in June of 1969. Survivors include the widow; a son, Richard Lyle of New Market; two grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Etter of New Market; a stepson, Donald Bannon of Bainbridge; a stepdaughter, Patricia Tippin of Greencastle; 11 step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hopkins-Walton Funeral Home in Bainbridge with Rev. Sherman Essex and Rev. Ron Halet officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday.
