Mrs. Lillian Leota Rush, 712 South Blvd., died early Wednesday morning at the Bowles Convalescent Home where she had been a patient two weeks. She was 87. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, Dec. 9, 1876, the daughter of Albert N. and Sarah J. Miller Voris, but was brought to Montgomery County when she was only six weeks old. She lived the major part of her life in this county. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her grandmother Martha Jane Miller, was one of the founders and charter members of the Mt. Zion Church. Mrs. Rush was married first to Thomas J. Earle, who died in 1937. On Sept. 14, 1941, she married Walter W. Rush, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Charles V. Earle and Harry G. Earle, both of Rt. 1, and Russell H. Earl, Nashville, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Cain, Darlington, Mrs. Elsie Weliver, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Martha Newkirk Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a sister, two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Mt. Zion EUB Church with Rev. John R. Servies and Rev. Richard Clayton officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bright Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services.
