ST. JOSEPH (CNS) — Mrs. LaVerne Ann Alderson Rush, 57, of St. Joseph, died at 8:30 p.m. yesterday (July 9, 1970) at the Burnham City Hospital in Champaign. She had been ill six months. Born Dec. 11, 1912, at Perrysville, Ind., she was the daughter of Elbert Allen and Sarah Alveda Young Alderson. She was married June 30, 1956, at Danville to Lowell Rush of St. Joseph, who survives. Other survivors include a step daughter, Mrs. Richard Vallangeon of Attica, Ind.; a step son, Robert of St. Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Wilmer Bell of Waynetown and Mrs. Ruth Lucas of Covington, Ind.; two brothers, Elbert and Arnold Alderson, both of Danville; and five grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a grandchild. Mrs. Rush was a member of the St. Joseph Church of Christ. She served as chairman of the deaconess board and a Sunday school teacher. She also was a member of the Women's Council and Order of Eastern Star. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Church of Christ. The Rev. William Schoville will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at Danville. The body is at the Freese Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. -- typed by Walt W
