WAYNETOWN -- Mrs. Goldia Runyon, 83, formerly of near Alamo and a resident here the last nine years, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where she had been taken after being stricken at her home. She had moved here from the Alamo community, where she and her husband had operated a farm since 1931. Mrs. Runyon was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. She attended schools at Fairmount, Ill. Born March 30, 1891, at Fairmount, she was a daughter of David C. and Sina Moore See. She married Harvey Runyon on March 31, 1909. He died in December, 1962. Surviving are five sons, Orville of Danville, Ill., Donald of New York, N.Y., George of Fort Worth, Tex., Lewis of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Gerald of Clay City; a daughter, Mrs. Jesse (Thelma) Howard of Wingate; a sister, Mrs. Martha Izard of Fairmount, Ill., and 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. George Beatty officiating and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
