Col. W.T. Royse, one of the Tribe of Ben-Hur and well known in this city passed away Friday morning at his home in Indianapolis after a lingering illness. He was 72 and had been a resident of Indiana for 35 years. Six years ago Col. Royss (sic) suffered a stroke of apoplexy and was forced to retire from active vusiness life. He was one of the best known insurance men in the state and prominently identified with the founding of the Supreme Tribe of Ben Hur. The early successes of the order were due in a great measure too to Mr. Royse's untiring energies. He was a supreme officer up to the time of his death. He leaves a wife and six sons. The funeral will take place at Indianapolis Monday afternoon. - kbz
