ROMNEY—Mrs. Pauline Royer, 51, wife of Lt. Col. W. Clare Royer, died at 5 p.m. Monday at the Air Force Field Hospital at Montgomery, Ala. A native of Romney, she had lived the last five years at Montgomery, where her husband is stationed with the U.S. Air Force. She was a daughter of Wilbur and Jenny Bates and was born in April 1907. Surviving besides the husband is a daughter, Mrs. James W. Underwood of Chico, Calif.; the mother, Mrs. James Royer of Romney; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Bates of Romney and Mrs. Hazel Coons of Chicago, and four step-brothers, Herman Royer of Chicago, Kenneth Royer of New Richmond, William Royer of Springfield, Ill., and Frank Royer of Romney. Her father preceded her in death. Graveside rites will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the New Richmond Cemetery with. Rev. Robert Shanklin of Romney officiating. Friends may call at the Russell E. Brown Funeral Home in Linden after 9 a.m. Friday
