ROMNEY-- Mrs. Lucille Royer, 54, of Rt. 1, Romney, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in Home Hospital at Lafayette. She had been a patient there two and one-half days. Mrs. Royer was a member of the Romney Presbyterian Church and had served as the church organist for several years. She also was a member of the Romney Home Economics and Study clubs. Born May 29, 1912, at Newtown, she attended school there. She had resided in Romney about 30 years. She was the daughter of Mirbel and Maude Furr Wood, who survive. On July 1, 1933, she was married to Frank Royer, who also survives. Other survivors are two sons, Jan and Nile, both of Rt. 1, Romney; two brothers, Lester Wood of Newtown and Allen Wood of Jeffersonville; a sister, Mrs. Burton Lawson of Attica; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Helms Funeral Chapel in Linden. Rev. Peter Heemstra will officiate. Interment will be in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral chapel after 4 p.m. Thursday. --typed by Walt W

LINDEN — Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Royer were conducted Friday afternoon at Helms Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Heemstra officiating. Mrs. Marjorie Linville played requested selections on the organ. Pallbearers were Kenneth Rauch, Robert Smith, Richard Overpeck, Albert Smith, Ora Newnum and Alfred Quigg.
