Rosnett - Cleona Owens

Mrs. Cleona Evelyn Rosnett, 81, of 300 Dunn Ave., died at 3 p.m. Monday after an illness of one year. Mrs. Rosnett had been a resident of Crawfordsville six years. Prior to that she had lived in the New Market area, coming from Vermillion County, Ill., 14 years before. She was a member of the Bethel Church of Nazarene. She was born in Summerset, Ky., March 4, 1886. Her father was Thomas Jefferson Owens. Her mother’s maiden name was Herron. She married Fred Thomas Rosnett Jan. 9, 1907, in Champaign, Ill. Surviving along with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice May Schneider of Sarasota, Fla.; two sons, Eldon Owen of Fairmount, Ill., and Thomas Buren of Ogden, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. May Sue Kees of Georgetown, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Carrington Funeral Home in Fairmount, Ill., with Rev. Phil Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bright Funeral Home here from 2 until 9 p.m. today. – jlr
