Rosenbaum - Ora

WAYNETOWN – Ora Rosenbaum of Rt. 2, Waynetown, who would have been 90 years old next Monday, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient since suffering a hip fracture Aug. 30 in a fall at the home of his son, Burrell, on Rt. 2. Born near Campbellsburg in Lawrence County on Sept. 15, 1879, he was a son of William H. and Elizabeth Louts Rosenbaum. He was married in Campbellsburg on Dec. 4, 1903 to Jennie Russell, who died Oct. 29, 1957. Mr. Rosenbaum farmed all his life, moving to this area in 1925. He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and served a term on the Wayne Township advisory board. Survivors include the son, Burrell; a grandson, Robert, also of Rt. 2, Waynetown; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dale, Guy, Lester and Emery of Campbellsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Zora Jean and Mrs. Aubrey Nicholson, also of Campbellsburg, and nieces and nephews. A daughter, Estell Sanders of Crawfordsville, died in November, 1967. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here, with Rev. Rob James of the Baptist Church officiating and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
