Source: Crawfordsville Journal, May 9, 1916
After suffering for many years from the infirm conditions attendant on his age and from blindness, Dr. Vincent Rose, a former resident of Ladoga, d. Monday noon. He was over 80. Dr. Rose left his home in Ladoga in his younger years to study medicine. Later he married, but at the death of his wife, returned to his old home. Because of his advanced age he never practiced his profession at his home. About 2 years ago, blindness was added to his afflictions. A devout member of the Methodist Church, he was very seldom absent from the Sunday service. The body was returned to Ladoga Tuesday and funeral services will be held from the Methodist Church, in charge of GF Weidman. Frank Rose of Ladoga is a brother of the deceased. --kbz
