WAYNETOWN, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Mildred Irene Rose, 65, of Waynetown, died at 3 p.m. Monday (June 19, 1972) at 404 E. Wabash in Crawfordsville where she was employed as a companion for Mrs. Arch Olds. Born July 4, 1906, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Samuel and Etta McCarty Shaw. She was married June 12, 1928, in Chicago to Wallace L. Rose, who died in 1966. They had moved to Waynetown in 1954. Mrs. Rose was graduate of Williamsport High and Hammond Business College. She had formerly resided in Chicago and was employed by Sears until she moved to Waynetown. Survivors include a foster daughter, Mrs. Flora Dayton of Mt. Rose, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Bisner of Lafayette and Mrs. Janet Nichols of Chicago; and three foster grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Brock will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery northeast of Waynetown. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Wednesday. – jlr
