Rogers - Ola Blair

WINGATE – Mrs. Ola Rogers, 85, a former Wingate resident, died Friday, March 31, at Community Rest Home in Indianapolis. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Wingate Methodist Church. Born Oct. 9, 1886, in Hardin County, Ky., she was a daughter of John and Jesse Blair. She was a member of Stovall Methodist Church. In 1904 she married Collie Rogers, and the couple moved to Wingate. In 1927 the family moved to Indianapolis. Survivors include a son, Boyd Rogers of New Richmond; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wise of Danville, Ind., Mrs. Janie Stovall of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. Julia Hobbs of Valley Station, Ky., and Mrs. Georgia Brown of Shivley, Ky.; two brothers, Venie Blair of Louisville, Ky., and Murl Blair of Valley Station, Ky., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, John, and brother, Vester Blair. Burial was at Stovall Methodist Church Cemetery in Hardin County, Ky. -- jlr
