Melvin B. Rogers of Champaign, Ill who for a number of years was in the barber business in Crawfordsville died Wednesday morning at his home in Champaign, according to a message received here by friends. He had been in failing health the past year. Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Mittendorf mortuary in Champaign with burial in a Champaign cemetery. While a resident of Crawfordsville, Mr. Rogers was associated with Thomas Ransdell in the barber business. He left here over 25 years ago and since then had resided in Champaign where he was proprietor of the Champaign Beauty & Barber Supply Company. Surviving are the widow, the father, George Rogers of Thorntown and a sister, Mrs. Guy McCoy of Indianapolis. – thanks to “S”
