Charles Ernest Rogers, 65, of Veedersburg Route 3, died Wednesday (May 26, 1971) in Lake Viel Memorial Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient three weeks. Born Sept. 8, 1950, in Fountain oCunty, he was the son of Austin and Creety Frazier Rogers. On Nov. 5, 1927, he married Wilma Brimbury, who died in 1958. On Aug. 16, 1959, he married Anna Buckelew of Catlin, Ill. A self-employed carpenter, he was a member of the Catlin Church of Christ. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Sharon) Lindamood of Veedersburg Route 2 and Mrs. Charles (Phyllis) Boggs of Veedersburg; a son, Morris of Veedersburg Route 3; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Dukes of Hillsboro and Mrs. Blanche Fuller, Mrs. Cora Newkirk and Miss Alice Rogers, all of Crawfordsville; a brother, Paul of Crawfordsville; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sterling Christian Church, with Robert Pate of Catlin, assisted by Bill Keller, officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. - jlr
