Rogers - Anna Mitchell

DARLINGTON – Anna Rogers, 76, of Rt. 1, Darlington, a charter member of Sugar Creek Home Ec Club and resident of the Darlington and Colfax areas her entire life, died Monday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been elected to every post in the home ec club and was serving as its secretary. She also was a member of Colfax United Methodist Church and its WSCS. Mrs. Rogers was born at Colfax on July 9, 1900, a daughter of William and Katherine Payne Mitchell. She married John Rogers on Oct. 29, 1919. He died in 1972. Surviving are a nephew, John Shoemaker of Rt. 1, Darlington, and a brother-in-law, Jake Shoemaker of Darlington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Williams Funeral Home at Colfax with the Rev. John Stalions officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. – jlr
