A. Clyde Rogers, Montgomery County treasurer in the mid-1920s and well-known Crawfordsville businessman, died of a heart ailment Monday at his home, 1108 W. Main St. He was 75. Mr. Rogers was a director of the Montgomery Savings Association, a former trustee of Culver Hospital and had served several terms on the Crawfordsville School Board. Until his retirement in 1963, Mr. Rogers was owner and manager of the American Security Co. Mr. Rogers was graduated from Alamo High School in 1910 and from Wabash College in 1914. He was a school teacher for some time. He was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge at Waveland. A Montgomery County native, he was born Sept. 13, 1891, the son of Charles and Nannie (Hole) Rogers. He was married at Kansas City, Mo., Feb. 29, 1922, to Sallie Lee Sparks. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. James W. Taylor of Denver; two sons, Robert W. of Waynetown and Dr. Charles C. of Terre Haute, and seven grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Hunt and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services for A. Clyde Rogers were held Thursday afternoon at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larimore Wickett officiating. Burial was in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Lester McClamroch, Herbert Morrison, Walter Stump, John Ward, Darrell Mahorney and Ernest Ball. Active pallbears were Orville Talbert, Dick Huseman, Ned Rickett, Ralph Bunnell, Robert Stark, Joe Hinesley, Joe Pointer and Andy Browning. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. O. C. Edwards.
