NEW MARKET – Harry Rodgers, 78, of Rt. 7, Crawfordsville, died Tuesday evening in his home. He was a farmer and for the last four years had made windmills, toy drums and doll houses as a hobby. Mr. Rodgers was a member of the Newtown Baptist Church. He had attended Fountain County schools. He was married to Nancy Fay Long on Feb. 14, 1919. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert and Harold of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Craig of Veedersburg and Mrs. Norma Weise of Bridgeton; a brother, Russell of Oakwood, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Berniece Alward of Kingman; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Powers Funeral Home at New Market. The Rev. Creed Hampton will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. –
