WINGATE — William Harvey Robinson, 85, resident of Wingate the past 32 years, died at 1:50 a.m. Friday at Culver Hospital where he had been a patient since Tuesday. Mr. Robinson was born Feb. 3, 1883, at Goodland to James C. and Caroline Robinson. He was married Aug. 22, 1905, to Della LaGue of Fowler. He had been a farmer for 25 years previous to establishing the Robinson Implement Sales of Wingate which he retired from several years ago. Mr. Robinson was a 50-year member of F&AM 633, a member of the Wingate Mercer Lodge, the United Methodist Church of Wingate and a graduate of Goodland High School. He was active in civic affairs. Survivors include: his wife; three sons, Howard L. of Wingate, James H. of Newtown and John B. of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Lilyan Buncan of Hartford, Conn.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Rob R. James of Michigantown officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday and after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
WINGATE—Funeral services for William H. Robinson were held at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Rob R. James, a former pastor of the Wingate Methodist Church, was in charge and Mrs. Anna Grenard played a number of favorite organ selections. The pallbearers, who also cared for the flowers, were Lee Meharry, Gordon Holloway, William Marquess, Dallas Jones, Ralph Clawson and Robert Small. Interment was in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.
