Ruth Dora Rivers, 84, died at 4:5 p.m. Saturday in Ben Hur Nursing Home where she was a resident. Mrs. Rivers was a member of Fremont Street Baptist church. She was born AUgust 18, 1908 in Clark County, Indiana to Art and Goldie McCormick. She married Roy Rivers on May 28, 1924 at Portland MIlls. He died August 17, 1983. Surviving are 3 sons: Charles of Waveland; Robert of Lake Holiday and Orris "Pete" of Kent, Indiana; 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. A sister, 3 brothers and 3 sons preceded her in death. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt 7 Son Funeral Home with Rev. James Rivers officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. today. - kbz
