Ritter - Lasade Jackson

- Mrs. Isaac Ritter died at her home on North Cross Street, at 4 o'clock Saturday morning. She had been seriously ill about a fortnight, but had apparently recovered her usual health. Death resulted from rupture of an abcess on the lungs. A short service was held at the home on Monday monring in charge of Rev. Roscoe Smith and another service at Wesley chapel, west of Crawfordsville near her former home. Interment in Liberty Cemetery. Miss Lasada Jackson, daughter of Elizabeth and James R. Jackson was born in Miami County, Indiana Feb 14, 1853 and departed this life, Sept 9, 1916 aged 63 years 6 months 23 days. She was united in marriage to Isaac Ritter Jan 25, 1868. To this union five children were born, 3 sons dying in infancy. Two daughters, Mrs. Nannie Moore of Waynetown and Mrs. Irene Yount of Waveland, survive, besides the grieved husband, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. C. A. Yaryan of Waveland and Mrs. Hannah Miller of Elmdale and one brother, J.A. Jackson of Crawfordsville and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends remain to mourn the loss of a true and faithful wife, devoted mother and kind friend. She united with the Christian Church in 1868, and had always lived a faith Christian life. kbz
