VEEDERSBURG — Martha E. "Betty" Risk, 82, Veedersburg, died at 10:40 a.m. Aug. 7, 1999, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Born Aug. 5, 1917, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Oscar L. and Clara E. Baker Gibson. She married Robert Risk Jan. 15, 1949, in Danville. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was empolyed for 19 years at the Fountain County Foundry, and was a retired payroll clerk. She graduated from Ladoga High School in 1935, and later Indianapolis Business School. She was a member of Ladoga Christian Church and Ladoga-Roachdale Order of the Eastern Star for 54 years. Survivors include: daughter, Jane Ashwill, Veedersburg; sister, Doris Litherland, Cicero; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister, Beulah Griggs, and brother, John C. Gibson. Funeral services were at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Ladoga Cemetery.
