A number of the Central boys went to Lebanon Saturday to attend the funeral of Samuel H. Rinehart. His death which occured on Thursday had been momentarily expected for several days. The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church. He was born in Clinton County June 7, 1840. He served during the Civil War, enlisting August 8, 1862 in the 72nd IVI and acted as a scout in the famous, "Watermelon Brigade." He was wounded at McMinnville, Tenn. He married Nancy Durham Dec 25, 1864. There are five surviving children: Wilder D; Jesse W; Frank V; Harry H. and Mrs. Ralph Beesley. The four sons, with two soldier comrades acted as pall bearers. Mr. Rinehart has been a resident of Lebanon for 15 years.
