Riley - Mary "Mamie" Gaddis

Mrs. HC RILEY, wife of the Rev. HC Riley who served the Waveland charge of the Methodist Church in the years 1912 died at the Home Hospital in Lafayette, Tuesday morning. During the period of their active ministry served on 13 different charges in the NW Indiana Conference and were employed at the Methodist hospital for a period after which they lived at Battle Ground and supervised the dining room and hotel for all of the conference gatherings. Mr. and Mrs. Riley had been married 52 years and were the parents of one child, Paul who preceded her in death a short time ago. The funeral was conducted this Thursday at Lafayette and burial was in W. Lafayette. The husband remains. - kbz
Note: Rev. Henry Clay Riley passed just a few months afterwards (3 April 1946) - they are buried in Grand View Cemetery, West Lafayette, Indiana (Sec C) as is their son, Paul (and wife) 1894-1940
