Denzel O. Richardson, 79, a former resident of Crawfordsville and Montgomery County, died Friday in Long Beach, Calif., after an extended illness. He was born in Boone County on Aug. 21, 1897, a son of John N. and Martha Mangus Richardson. Surviving are his wife, Thelma; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Sparks of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Services will be Tuesday in Long Beach. – jlr
