Zella Dee Rice, 100, of 202 Woodlawn Drive died at 12:36 p.m. Saturday in the Carman Nursing Home where she had been a resident the past 3 years. Mrs. Rice was a member of Browns Valley Baptist Church. She attended Browns Valley School. Born Oct 10, 1878, at Browns Valley, she was a daughter of Thomas F. and Lucy Ann Davis Patton. She married Thomas W. Rice on March 5,1899. Surviving are a brother, George B. Patton of the Wesley Manor Home at Frankfort and 21 nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Powers Funeral Home with Rev. D. Robert Nees officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
