Rice - William Albert

Mrs. Harry Crutchfield has received word from her brother, Harry Rice of Ellensburg, WA that he has been informed of the death of his son, William Albert Rice who was a member of the crew of the warship Arizona, destroyed at Pearl Harbor. Word came on Dec 20. The boy enlisted about a year ago. Some of our people will remember the tragic death of his mother, who was burned to death in 1919. He was in his 23rd year, so was a very small child at that time. - kbz
