Word has been received here of the death of Thomas A. Rice in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Rice has been a sufferer for many months, his ailment being diagnosed as cancer. He lived in Waveland for many year in the house now owned by Mrs. George Durham. He is survived by the widow, one son, Frank Rice and one daughter, Mrs. Carl Denk. The news of his death will be regretted by many friends here.
