LAFAYETTE – Ted Rice, 57, who was born in Montgomery County, died at his home in Lafayette Tuesday. He had been in failing health. He was married to Grace McCormick and later to Verona Clampitt. She survives with three brothers, Wallace and Clark of Lafayette and Frank of Romney, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jones of West Point and Mrs. Martha Phillips of Ephrata, Wash. Mr. Rice was a farmer most of his life. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Eikenberry Funeral Home in Lafayette. Burial will be in Springvale Cemetery there. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
