Rice - Margaret Taylor

Margaret Rice, daughter of Charles and Lulu Taylor, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus last Sunday night, after an illness of six weeks of whooping cough, complicated with pneumonia and congestion of the brain. Her short life of a little more than two years was of sufficient length to so entwine her loving self around our hearts as to leave them torn and bleeding at the separation. She was of an especially lovable disposition, and will long be remembered by all who knew her as a bright, sweet, winsome little child. The funeral services were at the house, and the little body was laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Kind friends had relieved the awfulness of the cold and cruel grave by a lining of muslin and evergreens. The floral tributes were beautiful, literally, "a bed of flowers." - kbz
