Mellott - Ferman H. "Fuzzy" Rice, 72, of Rt 3, Veedersburg, died at 3 a.m. today in his home. He was a member of the Mellott Christian Church. He was a school bus driver for Richmond Township and Southeast Fountain Schools for several years. He was a semi-retired farmer. Born Sept 26, 1907, near Mellott, he was a son of Clarence (Jefferson) and Clara Alma (Wade) Rice. He was graduated from Hillsboro HS. He was married in 1940 to LaVera Harris, who survives. Also surviving are three brothers: Reed Rice of Wingate; Ralph E. Rice of Scotts Bluff, Neb and James C. Rice of Daltona, Fla. Arrangements are incomplete at Crumley-Funeral Home at Hillsboro.
