Mrs. Emma G. RICE, 86 was found dead in her home here at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning. Cause of death has not been ascertained. She was believed to have died Monday night. Mrs. Rice was married twice, her first marriage in Peoria, Ill was to Carl GALEY who died in 1888. She was married again in 1894 to John RICE of Browns Valley who preceded her in death. Mrs Rice was a member of the Waveland Christian Church and had been a resident of the community since 1888. Surviving are one son, Harry Galey of Indianapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita METZLER of Indianapolis; two step sons, Jasper Rice of Washington and Guy Rice of Decatur, Ill; one step daughter, Mrs. Nettie English of Clinton, Ill. Preceding her in death was a step son, Fred Rice. Burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery after the funeral at 11 o'clock Thursday morning. kbz
