Rhoads - Grace St. Marie

Grace Rhoads, 88, Ft. Myers, Fla., and formerly of Crawfordsville, died Monday in Hope Hospice at Cape Coral, Fla. Mrs. Rhoads had provided child care in her home for many years. She was a graduate of Mooseheart High School at Illinois and was a former member of First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville. She was born Feb. 4, 1915, at Drumright, Okla., to Robert and Sarah St. Marie. She married Harold F. Rhoads on March 2, 1948. He died Oct. 3, 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara R. Young, Ft. Myers; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral mass is scheduled 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Bernards Catholic Church Daily Chapel, with Father Melvin Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery North. No calling is scheduled. Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, is in charge of arrangements.-- jeff s
