Linden, July 30 – Dr. James A. Rhea, 64, a practicing physician here for 34 years, died at the family home at 12:15 a.m. today.  He had suffered a stroke and had been in failing health two years.  Dr. Rhea was born at Eminence, Ind son of John and Mary (sic – Nancy Mugg) Rhea.  Dec 17, 1907 he married Iva Watson who died in 1927 and last March 31, he married Myrtle Bowerman. Dr. Rhea served with American forces in the Spanish and World war, and was a member of the Baptist Church at Eminence and Masonic order.  Surviving are the widow; a son, James Frederick of Crawfordsville; his aged mother, who lived here with her son; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Mannan, Washington, Ind and a half sister, Mrs. Nettie Mason, San Diego, Cal.  The body was removed to the King Funeral Home and will be returned this evening to the residence where friends may call.  Funeral Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the ME Church where the body will lie in state beginning at 1:30. Rev. AH Northrup will officiate. Burial in Linden Cemetery. - kbz

Crawfordsville – Dr. James O. Rhea, 64, practicing physician in Montgomery County the last 34 years, died today at his home in Linden following a stroke of paralysis.  Born at Eminence, Dr. Rhea served in both the Spanish-American and World Wars (sic).  Surviving are the widow, a son, one daughter and a sister. - kbz
