Emma H. Riley, 85, Rossville, widow of Dr. Charles Riley, Crawfordsville physician for several years, died Thursday morning in Clinton County hopsital of cancer following a serious illness of four months.

She was born in Clinton county Jan. 7, 1871, the daughter of Obed and Rachell (Cornelison) Dunkle.  She was married to Dr. Riley in 1894.  He preceded her in death in 1937.

Mrs. Riley was a member of Crawfordsville First Methodist Church and worthy matron of Athens chapter, Eastern Star, at Crawfordsville.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. F. T. Reed, Bloomington, and Mrs. R. K. Renfro, Tremont, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. W. E. Van Cleave, McAllistor, Okla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in L. E. Moore & Son Funeral home, Rossville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home afater 6 p.m. today where friends may call. -- thanks Mary K. G - you rock !
