Thomas H. Rice, 41, a former Montgomery county resident, was found dead in a Richmond, Ind., hotel room Tuesday afternoon.  Doctors estimated he had been dead about 12 hours.  Mr. Rice was making his home in Louisville at the time of his death, and was on a business trip to Richmond.  He was born on a farm southwest of New Market on Jan. 19, 1909, the son of Albert and Todie Rice and was graduated from the New Market high school.  He attended Wabash College and was a four-year veteran of World War II.  He moved to Richmond about 20 years ago, and removed to Louisville.  Survivors include the wife, Jessie Mae, of Louisville, and an uncle, T. W. Rice, 202 Woodlawn place, Crawfordsville.  Funeral services wi ll be conducted at the Person funeral home in Louisville Friday at 11 a. m. (CDT).  Burial will be in a Louisville cemetery. - kbz

Word reached here Wednesday of the sudden death of Thos. Rice, 43 from a heart attack while at his duties as distributor of Wayne buses.  Well known here as a partner in the Rice-Percy Players, he was the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leighty of Sarasota, Fla and husband of Jessie Mae Leighty.  They resided in Louisville, Ky.  As a major in WWII, he saw service in China and India.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Louisville with burial in the Military Cemetery there.  Mr. and Mrs. Lott Merrifield, Marshall Jones and John G.
