Reynard - May Ghormley

WAVELAND – May Ghormley Reynard, 85, of 11050 Presbyterian Ave., Lawrence, a Waveland native, died Sunday in Westminster Village North at Lawrence. She had been in failing health for three years. She had retired in 1960 as principal of Colefax and Kaley School at South Bend. She had been principal for 25 years. Mrs. Reynard was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was born in Waveland on May 20, 1891, a daughter of Justus and Clare Mills Ghormley. She married James D. Reynard in 1915 at Waveland. Surviving are a son, Granville of Indianapolis, and a grandson, Charles of Bloomington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Waveland Christian Church with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. – jlr
