Walter J. Renick, 54, of Flora, a native of Montgomery County, died at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Walker of Flora, after a two-year illness. He was a mechanic for International Harvester Co. Mr. Renick was a member of the Flora United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. Born at Wingate on Oct. 26, 1913, he was a son of Joseph and Nancy Pace Renick. He was wed April 21, 1934 to LaVaughn Hodgson, who survives. Also surviving besides Mrs. Frances Walker of Flora are another daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Cassell of Bloomington; two brothers, Haskel and Herman of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Flossie Bruner and Mrs. Verna Patton of Crawfordsville, and six grandchildren. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at Leiter Funeral Home in Flora, with Rev. Kaye Bass officiating and burial in Greenlawn cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted there at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
