Darlington - W. Haskell Renick, 74 former Darlington farmer and auctioneer, died at 1:10 a.m. today in the Indiana State Soldiers' Home at Lafayette. He was a member of the American Legion at Darlington. He retiredin 1964. He was a native of Glasgow, Ky. In 1919 he married Alberta Clements. She died in 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Nice of Brookston and Mrs. Patrick W. Sales of Monticello; a son, Wilbert of Darlington; a brother, Herman of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Flossie Bruner and Mrs. Verna Patton, both of Crawfordsville; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Soldiers' Home Chapel with Rev. H. Gray Russell officiating. Interment will be in Soldiers' Home Cemetery. Friends may call at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 4th & Alabama Streets, Lafayette from 5-9 p.m. Thursday. The body will lie in state at the chapel one hour before services. - kbz
