Mrs. Lena Remley, 87, of 307 E. Wabash Ave., died at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital. She had been seriously ill several weeks. Mrs. Remley, who would have been 88 Friday, was born Dec. 30, 1878, near Mace. She was the daughter of Andrew and Mary Bratton Smiley. She was married in 1897 to Albert Remley, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Remley was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of the Flower Lovers Club. Surviving are two sons, Adrian of Darlington and Leslie of Crawfordsville; five daughters, Miss Marie Remley of Champaign, Ill., Mrs. Frances Wood of New York City; Mrs. Mildred O'Sullivan of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Rosemary Robertson of Brownstown, and Mrs. Laverne Perry of Crawfordsville; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Laurimore Wickett, pastor of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday.
