A former teacher in the Waveland schools, Mrs. Carol REMLEY, 61, died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville, Tuesday, Sept 20, 1955. Mrs. Remely had been in failing health the past two and one-half years. She was born in the Roberts Chapel community, Sept 20, 1894, the daughter of Bishop and Mary Nelson MARCRUM. She was married to Verne Remley in 1917. She was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church of the Wesley Home Demonstration Club, Montgomery County Home Demonstration chorus, Wesley WSCS, Red Cross Reserve Corps and was S&E leader for the Wayne Twp. Farm Bureau. She was a licensed practicing nurse. Survivors include the husband, two sons, Dale of Crawfordsville; and Carl of Rt. 2, Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Marietta Arlington in Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Lowe of Crawfordsville; and Mrs. Etta Banta of Waveland; a brother, Edgar Marcrum of W. Virginia and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wesley Methodist Church with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial in Wesley cemetery.
